New York Supreme Court Nixes Non-Citizen Voting

The Supreme Court – no no not that one just the one in New York! – has shot down the law allowing non-citizens the right to vote in local elections.

The New York City Council’s “Our City, Our Vote” bill is no more. While the law was set to permit “dreamers” the ability to vote in local elections starting in 2023 it did not allow for them to participate in state and federal elections.
