New York Sees A ‘Day Without Immigrants’

This past Monday may have been Valentine’s Day but it was also a commercial holiday targeted by the New Immigrant Community Empowerment (NICE) to stage protest and rallies dubbed ‘A Day Without Immigrants’ in an attempt to halt some of that commercial business.

The group, in protests such as the one held in Times Square, says immigrant have the ability to cripple the economy and want immigration status as a focal point of the State Of The Union at the end of the month as they take their show on the road to Washington, DC.
